Position: QA Test Engineer- WFH

Location: India

Roles & Responsibilities:

Each squad has 2 developers, 1 UX, and 1 Product Owner. Developers are responsible for writing unit and integration tests. Developers are finding it time-consuming to write these tests. Having a dedicated QA Engineer to work on them will be a great help to the team.

• Programa has an existing suite of Cypress tests that are crucial in detecting regressions. Cypress tests are written in Node and run using Cypress Cloud.
• Part of the engineering team, and working across 2 squads, the QA automation engineer will build and maintain Cypress tests ‘end-to-end’.
• The QA Automation Engineer will be part of team discussions, ceremonies, etc.
• He will work actively to write Cypress tests as features are developed
• Someone with a QA background would be an advantage; likewise someone with a dev background
• Manual/exploratory testing for new features in addition to automation would be well-received
• Skills to set up a local development environment and work on tests on the local computer
• Ability to work independently
• Run the app locally on the computer, submit it to the team, and get it deployed with the rest of the changes
• Talent to have a Mac with the latest version of Mac OS
• Ability to add CY tags in the code
• Familiarity with HTML to modify code so that the Cypress test works
• Familiarity with Docker
• Nice to have someone who has worked in the Rails environment before

This Role Requires:

• 3 to 5 Years of Experience in QA Automation Testing
• Hands-on Experience working on Cypress “End to End” Testing
• Preferred experience as a developer transformed into QA Testing
• Good to Have knowledge of AWS, Docker, Linear, Slack and GitHub
