Are you a skilled and motivated QA professional with expertise in software testing and automation? Do you have a strong command over Java, SQL, Selenium, and other testing frameworks? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a QA – SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test). This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own location while contributing to challenging and innovative projects.
Responsibilities:
- As a QA – SDET, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications through effective testing and automation. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Test Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements and design effective test plans.
- Execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts to identify defects and ensure software functionality.
- Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to validate system performance.
Automation Testing:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and testing frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, and Rest Assured.
- Design and implement robust automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Execute and analyze automated test results, identify failures, and report defects.
Manual Testing:
- Perform manual testing activities when necessary, including exploratory testing, ad-hoc testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage and validate software functionality against defined requirements.
Defect Management:
- Document and track defects using bug tracking tools.
- Work closely with the development team to provide detailed bug reports and assist in bug resolution.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with emerging testing tools, techniques, and best practices.
- Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Expertise in automation testing using Selenium, TestNG, and Rest Assured.
- Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Knowledge of automation engineering principles and frameworks.
- Familiarity with manual testing techniques and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Contract Duration: This position is on an ongoing contract basis.
