Job Summary:

Cientra is seeking skilled and experienced WLAN Test Engineers with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience to contribute to our networking product testing efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) and networking, along with expertise in manual testing of networking products. This role requires proficiency in testing layer-2 to layer-7 protocols, high debugging capability, and the potential to work with scripting languages like Python, as well as shell scripting and Windows batch commands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough manual testing of networking products with a specific focus on WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) technologies.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of networking products.
  • Leverage your expertise in testing layer-2 to layer-7 protocols to ensure proper functionality and interoperability.
  • Demonstrate a high level of debugging capability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and quality assurance professionals, to understand project requirements and design effective test strategies.
  • Provide valuable insights and feedback to improve the overall quality of networking products and enhance the user experience.
  • Possess the ability to work on scripting languages like Python for test automation (optional).
  • Utilize your knowledge of shell scripting and Windows batch commands for additional testing efficiency (optional).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, sharing best practices and promoting the adoption of industry-standard testing techniques.

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) technologies and networking concepts.
  • Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and practices.
  • Experience in testing layer-2 to layer-7 protocols.
  • High debugging capability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
