Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manual Tester with a strong background in agile testing methodologies. The Sr Test Lead will be responsible for overseeing and executing the testing efforts for complex software projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable software solutions. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in software testing, including hands-on experience in both manual testing and automation & performance testing.
Responsibilities:
- Testing Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand testing requirements and project objectives.
- Develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans based on project specifications.
- Identify testing scope, test objectives, and resource requirements.
- Test Execution and Defect Management:
- Execute manual test cases to validate software functionality and identify defects.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve defects and ensure bug-free software delivery.
- Conduct performance testing to evaluate system responsiveness and stability.
- Oversee and conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not impacted by new changes.
- Monitor and report test results, defects, and testing progress to project stakeholders.
- Agile Testing and Communication:
- Work closely with agile development teams to integrate testing seamlessly into the development process.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings and provide updates on testing status.
- Proactively communicate testing progress, risks, and challenges to the project team and management.
- Test Automation:
- Identify opportunities for test automation and lead the development of automated test scripts.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to implement and maintain automated test suites.
- Ensure automated tests are robust, maintainable, and deliver accurate results.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Drive process improvements within the testing team to enhance efficiency and quality.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual testing.
- Experience in both automation and performance testing is essential.
- Preferably Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices.
- Proficiency in testing tools such as JIRA, Selenium, TestNG, JMeter, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Proven experience in leading testing efforts for large-scale projects.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
