Position: Test Manager

Mode of Work: Work from Office (No WFH)

Tech Mahindra, a leading IT services and consulting company, is seeking a highly experienced Test Manager with strong expertise in the banking domain to join our team. As a Test Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions for banking projects. If you have extensive experience in banking domain projects, have managed large teams, and possess expertise in all levels of testing, we invite you to apply for this challenging opportunity.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Banking Domain Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in the banking domain, with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience working on current projects in the banking industry.
  2. Project Management: Ability to handle giant projects with significant team size management skills, ensuring smooth project execution and meeting project deliverables.
  3. Test Manager Experience: Proven track record as a Test Manager with in-depth knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) process.
  4. Non-Functional Testing: Strong understanding and experience in Non-Functional Testing concepts, including performance testing, stress testing, and scalability testing.
  5. Performance Testing Tools: Hands-on experience in at least one performance testing tool, preferably JMeter, for script preparation and execution.
  6. Scrum Implementation: Ability to run the entire project in a Scrum framework and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Certification like CSM/PSM/SMCP is a plus.
  7. Performance Test Scenario: Proficiency in writing performance test scenarios, including TPS (Transactions Per Second) and the test execution process.
  8. Test Case Development: Develop test cases and automation scripts for core applications and new features to ensure a defect-free release.
  9. Test Plan Development: Review customer requirements and document the Test Plan, including test scope, schedules, approach, reporting, etc.
  10. Coordination: Coordinate between onsite/offshore teams, customers, and other support groups to ensure smooth implementation of testing and manage escalations when necessary.
  11. Defect Management: Ensure review defects are fixed and closed, and monitor the test execution as per planned dates and deliverable quality.
  12. Performance Analysis: Efficiently identify peak failure and stress testing points to optimize application performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA).
  2. Experience: Minimum of 10 to 16 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on banking domain projects.
  3. Performance Testing: Hands-on expertise in performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  4. Scrum: Familiarity with Scrum framework and Agile methodologies. Certification like CSM/PSM/SMCP will be an advantage.
  5. Non-Functional Testing: Strong knowledge and understanding of non-functional testing concepts.
  6. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
