Job Description: As a Test Engineer specializing in the General Insurance domain at QualityKiosk Technologies Pvt. Ltd., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications used in the General Insurance sector. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify defects and verify the functionality of insurance-related software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test objectives, scope, and strategies for General Insurance software projects.
  2. Test Design: Create comprehensive test cases and test scripts based on project requirements, ensuring coverage of all relevant scenarios.
  3. Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
  4. Defect Management: Identify, report, and track defects in a systematic manner, working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
  5. Test Automation: Contribute to test automation efforts by developing and maintaining test automation scripts and frameworks.
  6. Documentation: Maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  7. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that software changes do not introduce new issues.
  8. Domain Expertise: Leverage your General Insurance domain knowledge to provide insights and recommendations for improving software quality.
  9. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and efficient testing process.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging testing methodologies to enhance the testing process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on General Insurance domain projects.
  • Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
