As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications, including Android, Web Applications, and iOS. You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. - Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios to validate software functionality, usability, and performance across Android, Web Applications, and iOS platforms.
- Identify, document, and track defects, issues, and inconsistencies in defect tracking systems, and work closely with developers to resolve them.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that new enhancements and fixes do not impact existing functionalities.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues and potential user experience improvements.
- Monitor and analyze test results, and report on testing progress and test coverage to project stakeholders.
- Participate in test planning and estimation activities to ensure timely and effective test execution.
- Continuously update and maintain test documentation and test environments.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in manual testing and software quality assurance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Test Engineer with 3 to 7 years of experience in manual testing.
- Strong expertise in testing Android applications, Web Applications, and iOS applications.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, and test execution.
- Proficient in using defect tracking systems and test management tools.
- Ability to identify, isolate, and document defects with clear and concise steps to reproduce.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools will be an added advantage.
- ISTQB certification or any other relevant testing certification is a plus.
