Position: System Tester
Location: Bangalore, India
Responsibilities:
- Test Planning: Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and define test objectives, strategies, and plans.
- Test Execution: Conduct thorough testing of software systems to identify bugs, defects, and areas for improvement.
- Test Case Development: Create and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data sets to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Test Automation: Develop and execute automated test scripts using C#, C/C++, and JavaScript to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
- Defect Reporting: Document and report defects using bug tracking tools, providing clear and concise details for effective communication with the development team.
- Defect Tracking: Monitor and track the progress of reported defects, ensuring timely resolution and proper closure.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to validate software system stability and integrity after bug fixes or system enhancements.
- Test Documentation: Prepare and maintain test artifacts, including test plans, test reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure effective communication and seamless software delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies and practices, actively participating in process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a System Tester in a software development environment is required.
- Technical Skills: a. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, concepts, and best practices. b. Proficiency in developing and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test data sets. c. Experience in test automation using C#, C/C++, and JavaScript.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
