Position: Storage QA Engineer

Location: Pune

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your expertise and experience to ensure the quality and reliability of storage-related software products.
  • Set up test environments for client-server and distributed systems, including infrastructure and storage configurations.
  • Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate storage functionality and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and product managers, to understand requirements and develop test strategies.
  • Conduct system-level testing to validate storage performance, scalability, and resiliency.
  • Automate test cases and develop test frameworks using Python or Perl, as well as other automation tools.
  • Perform exploratory testing to identify potential vulnerabilities or areas of improvement.
  • Document and track defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on architectural and design decisions.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in storage, cloud computing, and automation frameworks.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of experience as a Storage QA Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong familiarity with the storage domain, including knowledge of storage architectures, protocols, and technologies.
  • Experience with cloud native applications and micro-services, with knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • System-level understanding of operating systems, including file systems, disk management, and storage configurations.
  • Proficiency in setting up test environments for client-server and distributed systems.
  • Good knowledge of Python or Perl for automation scripting, with experience in developing automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks such as Robot Framework, PyTest, or Selenium is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
