Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manual Testing:
    • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases to validate software functionality, usability, and performance.
    • Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, and user experience issues.
    • Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and provide timely feedback on software quality.
  2. Test Planning and Strategy:
    • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define testing objectives, scope, and deliverables.
    • Develop detailed test plans and strategies to ensure thorough coverage of software features.
    • Prioritize and manage test cases based on business priorities and project timelines.
  3. Defect Management:
    • Report defects accurately and provide clear and detailed information to assist developers in debugging and resolution.
    • Monitor the defect lifecycle, verify fixes, and maintain accurate records of defect status.
  4. Regression Testing:
    • Perform regression testing to ensure that software changes and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
    • Automate repetitive test cases where applicable to improve efficiency.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to ensure a unified understanding of project requirements and objectives.
    • Communicate effectively to share testing progress, results, and issues with stakeholders.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing.
    • Contribute to the enhancement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 4+ years in manual software testing.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in regression testing, defect management, and test documentation.
