Position: Software Test Engineer
Location: Mumbai
AQM Technologies, a leading IT solutions provider, is seeking a talented and experienced Software Test Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in software testing to contribute to the success of innovative projects and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle, including test planning, test case creation, test execution, and defect tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements and ensure effective test coverage.
- Design and execute test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and usability of software applications.
- Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to identify defects, bugs, and inconsistencies in the software.
- Perform manual testing as well as utilize automation testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, to create and maintain automated test scripts.
- Conduct API testing to validate the functionality, performance, and security of APIs.
- Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in test planning, test estimation, and test strategy discussions.
- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide accurate and timely test reports, including test execution status, defect reports, and overall project quality metrics.
Requirements:
- 2-8 years of experience in software testing.
- Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience in test planning, test case creation, and test execution.
- Proficiency in manual testing and familiarity with automation testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium.
- Knowledge of API testing and familiarity with tools like Postman or similar.
- Understanding of different types of testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Good understanding of defect tracking tools and processes.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile development environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python is a plus.
