Key Responsibilities:

1. Manual Testing: Perform comprehensive manual testing of software applications to identify defects, ensure functionality, and validate user requirements.
2. Automation Testing: Develop and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks to increase efficiency and test coverage.
3. Test Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create detailed test plans, test cases, and test data sets to align with project goals and objectives.
4. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects through their lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and validation of fixes.
5. Regression Testing: Execute regression tests to validate the stability of software releases and ensure that new features do not negatively impact existing functionality.
6. Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of software applications.
7. Test Reporting: Generate and maintain test documentation, including test reports, status reports, and defect reports, and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
8. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing, and actively contribute to process improvements.
9. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide valuable input on design and functionality.
10. Test Environment Setup: Configure and maintain test environments to simulate real-world conditions and scenarios for testing.
11. Test Data Management: Manage and maintain test data repositories, ensuring data integrity and privacy compliance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Proven experience in software quality assurance, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a QA role.
3. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
4. Proficiency in test case design, test execution, and defect management.
5. Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.
6. Solid understanding of programming languages and scripting (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation.
7. Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
8. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
9. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate and convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
10. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
11. ISTQB or similar certification in software testing is a plus.
