Position: Software QA Engineer
Location: Bangalore
PlanSource, a leading provider of cloud-based benefits administration solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software QA Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through effective QA processes and automation. If you have a proven track record in QA with a strong emphasis on QA automation, along with expertise in Selenium, scripting languages such as Java or Python, and API testing, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and scripting languages like Java or Python.
- Perform services/API testing and automation to validate the functionality and performance of web services.
- Utilize test management software, such as ALM and Jira, to organize test cases, track defects, and report test results.
- Use SQL queries to validate data integrity and perform database testing.
- Collaborate with the development team to analyze and troubleshoot issues, document defects, and verify fixes.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Integrate automated tests into the Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Continuously improve QA processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the QA function.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of proven work experience in QA with a strong emphasis on QA automation.
- Demonstrable experience in automation technologies, particularly Selenium, and proficiency in scripting languages such as Java or Python.
- Experience in services/API testing and automation to validate web services.
- In-depth knowledge of test management software, such as ALM and Jira, to organize test cases and track defects.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries for database testing and data validation.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in DevOps practices.
- Ability to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for efficient and continuous testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
