Position Overview:
KLA is looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer with a focus on Quality Assurance to join our team in Chennai, India. As a Software Engineer – QA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and contributing to the overall improvement of our software testing processes.

- Test Engineering: Utilize strong test engineering and test case design skills to develop comprehensive test plans and strategies.
- Manual and Automation Testing: Perform both manual and automation testing of software applications, with a focus on Windows desktop and application automation.
- Coding and Scripting: Use coding and scripting experience in C#/.NET to enhance automation efforts, where applicable.
- Problem-Solving: Apply analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address software defects and issues.
- SDLC Knowledge: Possess a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software engineering principles.
- Communication Skills: Exhibit strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in BE/B.Tech/MS/MCA/M.Tech or related field.
- 2-4 years of solid software testing experience, including a mix of manual and automation testing.
- Strong test engineering and test case design skills.
- Coding and scripting experience, with proficiency in C#/.NET, particularly for Windows desktop and application automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a systems thinking approach.
- Knowledge of SDLC and software engineering concepts.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
