Role Overview: As a Senior QA Engineer at AppSierra, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the quality of our software products through rigorous testing, analysis, and collaboration. You will work closely with our development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies. Leveraging your expertise in Testim, you will contribute to the creation of robust automated test cases and help shape our quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a strong attention to detail and a drive to deliver exceptional user experiences.

- Test Planning and Strategy:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design effective testing strategies.
- Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage of software functionality.
- Identify and prioritize test cases based on risk assessment and potential impact on the user experience.
- Automated Testing:
- Utilize your proficiency in Testim to create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for both frontend and backend components.
- Continuously enhance and optimize automated test suites to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Defect Management:
- Identify, document, and report defects using established processes and tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to replicate and investigate reported defects, providing detailed information for resolution.
- Regression and Functional Testing:
- Perform regular regression and functional testing to ensure that new feature implementations do not adversely impact existing functionalities.
- Validate software changes against requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment with user expectations.
- Performance and Load Testing:
- Collaborate with performance testing teams to design and execute performance and load testing scenarios.
- Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in quality assurance and testing methodologies.
- Contribute to the refinement and evolution of AppSierra’s QA processes and standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in quality assurance and software testing.
- Test Automation: Proficiency in using Testim for creating and executing automated tests.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices.
- Collaboration: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and distributed team environment.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to analyze complex systems, identify potential issues, and propose practical solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
