Job Summary: As a Senior Functional Testing Professional at CGI, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. You will be responsible for executing functional testing activities, including manual testing, mobile testing, accessibility testing, and API testing. Domain knowledge in the banking industry is preferred but not mandatory. You will work with industry-leading tools such as HP ALM, Jira, and Postman to effectively manage and track testing activities. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong testing expertise to contribute to CGI’s growth in a challenging economic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional testing activities, including test planning, test case design, test execution, and defect management.
  • Perform manual testing to validate the functionality of software applications.
  • Conduct mobile testing to ensure compatibility across different devices and platforms.
  • Perform accessibility testing to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
  • Conduct API testing to verify the integration and interoperability of software components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand requirements and provide input on testing strategies.
  • Leverage banking domain knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of testing activities (preferred, not mandatory).
  • Utilize industry-leading testing tools such as HP ALM, Jira, and Postman to manage and track testing activities.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide accurate and timely status reports on testing progress and issues to project stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide junior testing professionals, sharing best practices and enhancing the overall testing capabilities of the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-9 years of experience in functional testing.
  • Strong expertise in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
  • Experience in mobile testing, including knowledge of various mobile platforms and devices.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing standards and guidelines.
  • Proficient in API testing, with a good understanding of RESTful services and related technologies.
  • Preferred domain knowledge in the banking industry, with an understanding of banking processes and systems.
  • Experience working with testing tools such as HP ALM, Jira, and Postman.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
