Position: Senior Avaloq Tester
Location: Pune
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to define test requirements and develop comprehensive test plans for Avaloq software solutions.
- Design and execute test cases and test scripts to ensure the functional correctness and reliability of Avaloq applications, including modules such as Core, Payments, Securities, and Reporting.
- Perform end-to-end testing of complex business processes and workflows within the Avaloq platform to validate system functionality and integration.
- Conduct regression testing to identify software defects, performance issues, and compatibility problems, ensuring that fixes are implemented and retested accordingly.
- Utilize test management tools to document and track defects, issues, and enhancement requests, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand system requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, translating them into effective test scenarios.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks, such as Selenium or Cucumber, to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance overall quality assurance practices.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the testing team, assisting in their professional development and knowledge enhancement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Avaloq testing, proactively sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, specifically in Avaloq testing.
- Strong knowledge of the Avaloq banking system, including various modules and functionalities.
- Proficiency in designing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans for Avaloq applications.
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems, such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Quality Center.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Cucumber, or UFT.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, document, and track software defects and issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
