Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze User Requirements and Functional Specifications:
    • Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to understand user requirements and functional specifications.
    • Create detailed test scenarios based on the analysis to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  2. Test Case Preparation and Test Data Generation:
    • Develop test cases and test data for various levels of testing, including module, integration, and system testing.
    • Ensure that the test cases are clear, comprehensive, and aligned with the specified requirements.
  3. Test Result Documentation and Communication:
    • Document and track test results, including defects, issues, and observations during testing.
    • Analyze test results and communicate them effectively to the relevant teams and stakeholders.
    • Escalate critical defects and unresolved problems to the appropriate personnel.
  4. Defects Identification and Tracking:
    • Identify, log, and track defects discovered during testing.
    • Work closely with the development team to ensure defects are resolved and retested promptly.
  5. Execution of Test Cases:
    • Execute test cases meticulously and carry out various types of testing, such as functional, regression, cross-browser, and system testing.
    • Ensure that the software meets the desired quality standards and is free from critical issues.
  6. Test Automation Scope:
    • Collaborate with Automation specialists to identify test cases suitable for automation.
    • Assist in scoping out automation coverage for specific projects.
  7. Continuous Quality Assurance Improvement:
    • Provide valuable insights and recommendations to management for continuous improvement in quality assurance processes.
    • Participate actively in process enhancement initiatives.
  8. Weekend Production Implementation Support:
    • Support production implementation testing activities on weekends when required.
    • Ensure a smooth transition of software releases into production.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 2 to 8 years in Quality Assurance and Software Testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with test case management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy during testing.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of testing activities.
