Position: Quality Engineer
Location: Pune/Chandigarh
Stonewain Systems, a leading software development company, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. If you have a minimum of 2 years of experience in software quality assurance and a strong passion for delivering high-quality products, this is an excellent opportunity for you. The position is based in Pune/Chandigarh, and you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to identify defects and ensure the overall quality of our software products.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project goals and requirements.
- Review software requirements and design documents to provide input and ensure testability and quality.
- Utilize test management tools to track and manage test cases, defects, and test execution results.
- Participate in the design and implementation of test strategies and test methodologies.
- Analyze test results and provide clear and detailed reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the development team to investigate and reproduce reported defects and provide necessary information for debugging.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process improvements, tools, and techniques.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing and quality assurance.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficient in test case design, test execution, defect reporting, and test result analysis.
- Familiarity with different types of testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams and ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated with the latest trends in software testing.
