As a Quality Analyst (Manual Tester) at Binary Stream Software, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. You will collaborate closely with the development team to execute test cases, identify defects, and validate product functionality. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality products that meet the needs and expectations of our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and software specifications.
- Develop and execute detailed test cases to validate software functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Identify and document defects, ensuring clear communication with developers for resolution.
- Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and project planning sessions.
- Conduct thorough regression testing to verify the effectiveness of bug fixes and enhancements.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues and enhance overall product quality.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of testing documentation and processes.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and practices.
- Provide input into the overall quality assurance strategy and test planning.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to share knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and testing methodologies in the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools, with a focus on manual testing expertise.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in software testing.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, a related business discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Financial ERP and/or accounting experience, with an accounting certification preferred.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies.
- Experience working in an agile and fast-paced development environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
