Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Review and Feedback:
    • Collaborate with development and product teams to review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
    • Provide constructive feedback on the accuracy, clarity, and completeness of documentation to ensure alignment with testing objectives.
  2. Test Planning and Case Creation:
    • Design and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
    • Ensure that test cases cover all functional scenarios and edge cases, aiming for thorough coverage.
  3. Test Execution and Analysis:
    • Execute test cases across different software modules and applications.
    • Analyze test results, compare them with expected outcomes, and document discrepancies.
  4. Defect Reporting and Tracking:
    • Identify, document, and report bugs and errors using established bug tracking tools.
    • Collaborate closely with development teams to communicate identified issues and provide clear bug reports.
  5. Testing Requirement Documentation:
    • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of testing requirements, processes, and procedures.
    • Record testing outcomes, defects, and related information for reference and future improvement.
  6. Regression and Security Testing:
    • Perform rigorous regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure that no new defects are introduced.
    • Conduct security testing to identify vulnerabilities and potential security risks.
  7. Quality Assurance Metrics:
    • Track and maintain quality assurance metrics, including defect densities, open defect counts, and test coverage.
    • Utilize metrics to provide insights into product quality and the effectiveness of testing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, testing types, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools and defect management processes.
  • Basic knowledge of security testing concepts and regression testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
