Greetings from PamTen! We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced QA Manual Tester to join our dynamic team at our office located in SIPCOT IT Park, Chennai. As a QA Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This is a full-time position with a shift timing from 12 PM to 9 PM IST, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for quality assurance and testing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Software Testing: Conduct manual testing of non-complex software products using systematic testing methodologies. Collaborate with the development team to understand product requirements and design test cases accordingly.
  2. Test Planning: Develop comprehensive software test plans to ensure adequate test coverage for all product features. Analyze software requirements and specifications to create effective test scenarios.
  3. Test Standards and Procedures: Write and maintain test standards and procedures to ensure consistency in the testing process. Document testing methodologies and best practices for future reference.
  4. Test Execution: Execute test cases and test scripts to validate software functionality and identify defects. Maintain detailed records of test results and report any discrepancies to the development team.
  5. Defect Management: Assist in debugging and modification of software by documenting and tracking product testing problems. Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Automation Support: Collaborate with the automation team to design, code, and execute automated test scripts. A background in automation testing is considered a good-to-have skill.
  7. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test results, test plans, and other relevant testing artifacts to facilitate efficient debugging and further development processes.
  8. Communication: Possess excellent communication skills to effectively convey testing results and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Participate in status meetings and provide oral and written reports on testing progress.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing. Candidates with 7+ years of experience will be preferred.
  2. Educational Background: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any field is required.
  3. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  4. Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to pay meticulous attention to details during the testing process, ensuring thorough and accurate results.
  5. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and isolate software defects and inconsistencies.
  6. Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with developers and other stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  7. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced development environment.
  8. Automation (Good to Have): Familiarity with automation testing tools and a basic understanding of scripting languages is considered an advantage.
