Responsibilities:

• Manual testing: Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications to ensure functionality, reliability, and adherence to quality standards.
• Test planning and execution: Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional specifications and requirements. Execute tests and document results accurately and comprehensively.
• Defect identification and tracking: Identify software defects, document them using appropriate tools, and track their resolution through to completion. Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely defect fixes.
• Test documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Ensure that all testing activities are well-documented for future reference and audit purposes.
• Regression testing: Perform regression testing to verify that software enhancements or changes do not introduce new defects or affect existing functionalities.
• Test environment setup: Collaborate with the infrastructure team to set up and maintain test environments, ensuring that they accurately mirror production environments.
• Test data management: Create and maintain test data sets for different testing scenarios. Ensure the integrity and relevance of test data to accurately reflect real-world usage scenarios.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide feedback on design and usability, and ensure that the final product meets quality standards.
• Continuous improvement: Actively contribute to the improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to software quality assurance.

Requirements:

1. Education and Experience:
   • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
   • 3-4 years of relevant experience in manual software testing and quality assurance.
2. Strong knowledge of manual testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
   • Experience in testing web and mobile applications across different browsers and platforms.
   • Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
3. Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks.
   • Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools.
   • Knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
   • Ability to understand complex software systems and identify potential issues.
   • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
   • Effective written and verbal communication skills to articulate testing strategies, issues, and results to stakeholders.
   • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and establish effective working relationships.
6. Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
   • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
   • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
