Job Description:

As a QA Lead at Varcos, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. You will lead a team of testers, create test plans, scenarios, and cases, and work closely with clients during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase. Your expertise in manual testing, knowledge of Linux databases and SQL, and experience in managing stakeholder and customer expectations will be crucial to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Testing Experience: Possess 7+ years of experience in manual testing, including hands-on testing and test leadership.
  2. Test Planning: Create comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  3. Test Execution: Execute test cases effectively, identifying and reporting software defects.
  4. Linux Databases and SQL: Have knowledge or experience in Linux databases and SQL, enabling you to perform data-related testing tasks.
  5. User Acceptance Testing: Strong experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and working closely with clients during this phase.
  6. SDLC & STLC Knowledge: Understand and apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes.
  7. Defect Tracking: Utilize defect tracking tools to monitor and manage software defects throughout the testing process.
  8. Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the team, stakeholders, and clients.
  9. Analytical and Logical Reasoning: Apply strong analytical and logical reasoning skills to identify and solve complex testing challenges.
  10. Customer Expectation Management: Manage stakeholder and customer expectations by providing clear communication and delivering high-quality testing results.
  11. Use Case Implementation: Play a role in the implementation of use cases to ensure that software meets the intended requirements.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in manual testing, including leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in creating test plans, scenarios, and test cases.
  • Knowledge of Linux databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with SDLC and STLC processes.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and logical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder and customer expectations.
