Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced QA Game Testing – Team Lead to join our dynamic team at GlobalStep. As a Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the games we test. Your leadership and expertise will contribute to the success of our game testing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and Mentorship:
    • Lead a team of QA testers and coordinate testing efforts.
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to team members.
    • Ensure the team’s adherence to testing standards and best practices.
  2. Mobile Game Testing:
    • Conduct comprehensive mobile game testing with a focus on functionality, performance, and user experience.
    • Identify and document defects accurately, providing clear and detailed reports.
    • Perform regression testing to validate issue resolutions.
  3. Project Management:
    • Manage and prioritize testing activities for multiple game testing projects.
    • Collaborate with project managers to ensure testing schedules align with project timelines.
    • Report project status, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders.
  4. Defect Reporting:
    • Utilize defect reporting tools effectively to track and manage issues.
    • Ensure the timely resolution of defects and their verification.
  5. Platform Expertise:
    • Utilize your experience with various mobile platforms to ensure games are optimized for different devices and screen sizes.
    • Validate game performance on different platforms.
  6. Embedded QA:
    • Collaborate with development teams to integrate QA processes into the development lifecycle.
    • Ensure QA best practices are followed during the development of games.
  7. Testing Tools:
    • Utilize a range of testing tools commonly used in mobile testing, including Xcode, Android Studio, debugging tools, TestRail, Jira, and others.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
  • 4-6 years of Mobile Game Testing Experience with a minimum of 2 years in a lead role.
  • Experience with a minimum of 10-12 game testing projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of defect reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in testing games on various mobile platforms.
  • Exposure to Embedded QA processes.
  • Familiarity with testing tools commonly used in mobile testing, such as Xcode, Android Studio, debugging tools, TestRail, Jira, etc.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
