key responsibilities:

  1. Product Quality Strategies: Lead and execute product quality strategies for BT’s service offerings and products. Design test strategies for business-critical initiatives and development projects.
  2. Testing Activities: Execute a wide range of testing activities, including test case creation, diagnostics, and test data strategy for a portfolio of products. Be accountable for first and second-level diagnostics, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality test delivery across multiple workstreams.
  3. Quality Assessments: Drive assessments of the portfolio’s success against test plans. Develop processes and approaches to ensure the quality standards of products and services. Ensure that testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards where required.
  4. Prioritization: Contribute to establishing priorities for the portfolio. Direct service intake, set expectations for delivery timing and interdependencies, determine resource requirements, and monitor supplier test delivery outcomes.
  5. Integration Testing: Lead full lifecycle integration testing to support complex projects. Define and drive the deliverables required for successful integration testing.
  6. Service Virtualization: Leverage service virtualization by using simulated services instead of actual production services to test systems while still in the pipeline, especially when a 3rd party service is unavailable.
  7. Test Automation: Contribute to the design and development of test automation solutions that validate the functionality of applications.
  8. Defect Analysis: Deliver complex analysis to understand the impacts and causes of defects and issues. Lead the QA analyst team in investigating, identifying, and defining advanced solutions.
  9. Knowledge Sharing: Champion, continuously develop, and share knowledge on emerging trends and changes in QA engineering best practices and industry standards.
  10. Mentorship: Mentor other QA engineers, helping to improve the team’s abilities by acting as a technical resource.
