- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to understand product requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
- Perform manual testing of software applications to identify defects, usability issues, and areas for improvement.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios to thoroughly test both new and existing software features.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
- Participate in test case reviews, bug triage meetings, and provide valuable feedback to enhance the overall product quality.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously identified issues have been resolved and no new issues have been introduced.
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Continuously improve testing processes and strategies by staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Collaborate in the development of testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies to streamline the testing process.
- Assist in the analysis of user stories, requirements, and design documents to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Perform load and performance testing to identify system bottlenecks and ensure optimal application performance.
- Contribute to the establishment of quality assurance standards and best practices within the organization.
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress and any critical issues to project stakeholders.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of the development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the QA team, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven 2-4 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing.
- Strong proficiency in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with various testing types including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical mindset to identify potential issues and risks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git is a plus.
- ISTQB or similar testing certification is a plus.
