Job Description:

As a QA Engineer at UMR, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions, including web applications, mobile applications, and APIs. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting manual tests to identify and report issues. Your role will also involve mobile testing and API testing, making your contributions integral to our product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manual Testing: Create, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases to evaluate the functionality and performance of our software solutions.
  2. Mobile Testing: Test mobile applications on various platforms and devices to ensure a seamless user experience.
  3. API Testing: Verify the functionality and reliability of APIs by designing and executing API test cases.
  4. Test Planning: Collaborate with the development team to create test plans, strategies, and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
  5. Defect Identification: Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools, providing clear and detailed descriptions to assist developers in resolution.
  6. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously identified defects have been successfully fixed and that new updates do not introduce new issues.
  7. Test Documentation: Prepare test documentation, including test cases, test reports, and other testing-related documentation to maintain a record of testing activities.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, quality assurance teams, and project stakeholders to communicate testing results and ensure a high level of product quality.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in manual testing, with a focus on web and mobile applications, as well as API testing.
  2. Skills: Proficiency in manual testing techniques, mobile testing on various platforms, and API testing.
  3. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues.
  4. Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey testing results and collaborate with team members.
  5. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to identify and document defects accurately.
