Position: QA Engineer Testing
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and stability of our software applications.
- Perform both manual and automated testing activities to identify defects, verify fixes, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and provide valuable insights on testing strategies.
- Conduct thorough and systematic bug tracking, reporting, and documentation to assist in the timely resolution of issues.
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies.
- Perform API testing to validate the functionality, reliability, and performance of web services.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve the overall testing process.
- Participate in code reviews and provide valuable feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and address performance bottlenecks and other system issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA processes and methodologies within the organization.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in a software development environment.
- In-depth knowledge of both automation and manual testing techniques and methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Protractor.
- Solid understanding of API testing tools and techniques, including REST and SOAP protocols.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing processes.
- Ability to work in a flexible work shift from 6 am to 3 pm IST.
- Immediate to 2-week notice period is preferred.
