Position: QA Engineer

As a growing organization, we are looking for a skilled and motivated QA Engineer to join our team. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through automated testing and test frameworks.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the development and quality assurance teams to understand project requirements, features, and acceptance criteria, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the software under test.
2. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks to validate the functionality, performance, and security of software applications, ensuring efficient and repeatable testing processes.
3. Execute automated tests and analyze test results, promptly identifying and reporting any issues or defects to the development team for resolution.
4. Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure the stability of existing functionality after code changes or updates, maintaining the overall reliability of the software.
5. Participate in code reviews, providing valuable feedback on testability and test coverage of new features and code changes, promoting a culture of quality within the development team.
6. Work closely with the development team to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline, ensuring seamless integration of testing practices.
7. Monitor and maintain test environments and testing data to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results, promoting a controlled testing environment.
8. Continuously improve test automation processes and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness, keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and techniques.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve complex technical issues and challenges, promoting effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
10. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and techniques, applying them to improve our testing practices and elevate the overall quality of our software applications.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, demonstrating a strong foundation in software testing principles.
2. Proven experience in automated testing and test automation frameworks, showcasing expertise in designing and developing efficient automated test scripts.
3. Strong proficiency in programming languages commonly used in test automation, such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript (Python preferred).
4. Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, etc. (Selenium preferred).
5. Familiarity with version control systems like Git for code collaboration and management, promoting effective versioning and code control.
6. Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools, contributing to a seamless integration of automated testing in the development pipeline.
7. Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, ensuring a systematic and comprehensive approach to testing.
8. Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of test artifacts.
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail, to identify and report defects effectively.
10. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing.
