Job Summary:

As a QA Engineer at Scaledge Technology, you will be an integral part of our quality assurance team, responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and automate test cases, contributing to the overall quality of our software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manual Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive manual test cases to verify the functionality and performance of software applications.
  2. Automation Testing: Create and maintain automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage. Proficiency in tools like Selenium or Appium is a plus.
  3. REST API Testing: Conduct thorough testing of RESTful APIs to validate data integrity and functionality.
  4. Test Planning: Collaborate with the team to define test plans, test strategies, and testing timelines for various projects.
  5. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  6. Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
  7. Continuous Integration: Utilize tools like GitHub Actions to automate testing and integrate it into the development pipeline.
  8. Performance Testing (Desirable): Conduct performance testing to identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization.
  9. Code Review (Desirable): Review code changes to ensure that they do not introduce quality issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • 3-4 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
  • Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
  • Experience with REST API testing and understanding of API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
