Position: QA Engineer

Location: Indore

Serosoft is a leading educational software company based in Indore, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and create comprehensive test plans and strategies.
  • Test Execution: Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing, to ensure the software meets the defined quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Defect Management: Identify, report, and track software defects using bug tracking tools, and work closely with development teams to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks, with the goal of increasing test coverage and efficiency.
  • Test Documentation: Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scenarios, and test data, to ensure test repeatability and facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Test Environment Setup: Collaborate with system administrators and developers to set up and configure test environments, including hardware, software, and network components, to mimic production environments accurately.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, propose and implement best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of the QA process.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide feedback on product usability, performance, and reliability, and effectively communicate test results, progress, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to software testing, and share knowledge and best practices with the QA team to foster a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably in the software development industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test automation frameworks, and industry-standard QA tools. Proficiency in using bug tracking systems and test management tools.
  • Testing Skills: Demonstrated experience in creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts. Familiarity with various types of testing, such as functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
  • Test Automation: Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cucumber, or similar frameworks. Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or C# is desirable.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the education industry or educational software is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail to identify and reproduce software defects effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, document test cases, and effectively communicate test results and issues.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and assignments to meet project deadlines.
