Position: QA Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications.
- Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to identify defects and ensure product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product managers, to understand software requirements and identify testing needs.
- Perform QA for Big Data applications, including data validation, data integrity checks, and data quality assurance.
- Conduct ETL/DWH-BI data testing to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data transformations and data warehousing processes.
- Execute SQL queries and scripts to extract, manipulate, and validate data.
- Identify, report, and track software defects using defect tracking tools, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in defect triage meetings to prioritize and address issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain automated test scripts and tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA and software testing.
Qualifications:
- Any graduate with a strong background in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, preferably in a similar role.
- Expertise in QA for Big Data applications and ETL/DWH-BI data testing is a must.
- Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with SQL and database technologies for data extraction, manipulation, and validation.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexible to work in IST time zone.
