We are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic QA Engineer to join our team at our Mohali office. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and design effective test plans and strategies. Define test scope, objectives, and schedules to ensure thorough test coverage.
- Test Case Design and Execution: Create detailed and well-structured test cases based on functional and technical specifications. Execute test cases to identify software defects and verify that all product requirements are met.
- Automated Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Automate repetitive and critical test scenarios to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
- Defect Reporting and Tracking: Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools. Provide clear and concise defect reports to the development team and ensure timely resolution.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new features and enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionality. Continuously improve and update regression test suites.
- Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to assess the stability and responsiveness of applications under varying load conditions. Analyze performance test results and work with the development team to optimize application performance.
- Compatibility Testing: Verify software compatibility with different browsers, operating systems, and devices to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of test cases, test plans, and test results. Document and communicate test outcomes, metrics, and progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to software testing. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the overall QA process.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure effective communication and cooperation throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a QA Engineer or a similar role with a minimum of [insert number] years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Proficiency in manual testing and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG). Familiarity with programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
