- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and fellow QA team members, to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test plans.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scripts to validate software functionality and uncover defects.
- Conduct thorough and systematic manual testing to identify and report defects, ensuring they are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
- Perform regression testing to ensure the stability and integrity of existing features after code changes or updates.
- Work closely with the development team to communicate test results and provide necessary details to facilitate defect resolution.
- Identify areas for test process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies.
- Participate in the entire software development life cycle, from requirement gathering to product release, providing valuable input to enhance product quality.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 2-5 years in manual testing of software applications.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, techniques, and methodologies.
- Familiarity with testing processes and tools for defect tracking and test case management.
- Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to testing, ensuring all aspects of the software are thoroughly validated.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills (not mandatory but a plus):
- Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience in performance testing or security testing.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
