Position: QA and Senior QA
Location: Gurugram, India
BarCode India, a leading provider of innovative solutions in the field of barcode technology, is currently seeking experienced professionals to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive testing: Perform functional, regression, and system testing to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications, firmware, and hardware components.
- Test planning and execution: Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to guide the testing process. Execute tests and document results accurately and thoroughly.
- Defect identification and reporting: Identify and document software defects, track them to resolution, and verify their fixes. Collaborate with development teams to provide detailed defect reports and assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Test automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Continuously improve automation frameworks to optimize testing efficiency and coverage.
- Test documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Ensure that all testing activities are well-documented for future reference.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, software developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback on design and usability, and ensure that the final product meets quality standards.
- Process improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in QA activities and contribute to the implementation of best practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest QA trends, tools, and methodologies.
- Mentorship and leadership (for Senior QA role): Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members. Lead and participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and other collaborative activities to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- For the QA position, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in software testing and quality assurance is required.
- For the Senior QA position, a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software testing and quality assurance is required, with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Technical skills:
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience in testing web applications, mobile applications, and hardware devices.
- Proficiency in test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).
- Familiarity with programming languages and scripting (e.g., Java, Python) is desirable.
- Knowledge of barcode technology and related standards (e.g., UPC, QR codes) is a plus.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills:
- Excellent analytical skills to understand complex software systems and identify potential issues.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and diagnose software defects.
- Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to testing and documentation.
- Communication and collaboration:
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate testing strategies, issues, and results to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and establish effective working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability and continuous learning:
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and timelines.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies related to quality assurance and stay updated with industry trends.
