Position: Performance Testing Engineer
Location: Bangalore, India
Mode: Work from Office (Hybrid)
Spanidea Systems is a leading software development and technology consulting company based in Bangalore. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Performance Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in performance testing, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A solid understanding of non-functional testing and hands-on experience in API performance testing are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and execute performance tests to ensure the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of our software applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand system requirements and performance expectations.
- Develop performance testing strategies and test plans to identify bottlenecks, performance issues, and areas for optimization.
- Conduct load, stress, and endurance tests to measure system performance under different workloads and conditions.
- Use performance testing tools, such as Load Runner, to simulate realistic user scenarios and monitor system performance.
- Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for performance improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, quality assurance engineers, and system administrators, to resolve performance-related issues.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in performance testing and non-functional testing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A postgraduate degree such as an MBA is preferred.
- Strong experience in performance testing, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience in API performance testing is required. Proficiency in Load Runner is preferred.
- Solid understanding of non-functional testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience in web application automation using Katalon is desired. Knowledge of mobile application testing would be a plus.
- Familiarity with eCommerce and healthcare domain testing is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify performance bottlenecks and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
