Position: Performance Test Engineer

Location: Bangalore

About the Company: Horizontal is a leading technology solutions provider specializing in various domains. We are currently seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. As a Performance Test Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting performance testing and ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-5 years of total experience, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in performance testing.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Conduct performance testing of software applications using performance testing tools like NeoLoad or LoadRunner (mandatory).
  2. Design and execute performance test scenarios and test cases to assess the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of applications.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather performance requirements and translate them into performance test scripts.
  4. Identify performance bottlenecks and issues, analyze test results, and provide recommendations for performance optimization.
  5. Work with bug tracking tools like Jira or TFS to log, track, and report performance-related defects.
  6. Develop and maintain performance test scripts and test data sets.
  7. Ensure adherence to performance testing best practices, processes, and methodologies.
  8. Preferred experience in the Ecommerce domain, with working knowledge and business understanding of the Order Management space.
  9. Good understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and testing processes/practices.
  10. Develop and maintain knowledge spanning multiple applications and their performance characteristics.
  11. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and strong leadership qualities.
  12. Exposure or experience with performance testing tools, particularly NeoLoad, and test management tools, preferably TFS.
  13. Good knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language to enhance and customize performance testing scripts.

Requirements:

  1. 2-5 years of total experience with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Performance Testing.
  2. Experience with performance testing tools like NeoLoad or LoadRunner (mandatory).
  3. Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira or TFS (mandatory).
  4. Good knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language (mandatory).
  5. Preferred experience in the Ecommerce domain.
  6. Working experience and business knowledge of the Order Management space.
  7. Good understanding of SDLC and testing processes/practices.
  8. Ability to develop knowledge spanning multiple applications.
  9. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and strong leadership qualities.
