Position: Oracle QA Consultant

Location: PAN India

Responsibilities

  • Perform milestone-based review of deliverables as per the release plan, highlighting any gaps to senior management based on the escalation matrix.
  • Conduct ticket auditing for support projects and provide suggestions for areas of improvement.
  • Review SLAs/KPIs and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify hidden risks and coach project managers on risk mitigation strategies based on your past experiences.
  • Coach delivery teams on how to effectively manage risks, issues, and work collaboratively towards project success.
  • Guide delivery teams in implementing processes and standardization in projects, driving process initiatives, improvement activities, and ensuring CMMI compliance.
  • Develop project-specific checklists, guidelines, and other quality-related resources.
  • Guide the team to perform effective reviews at all stages of the software development life cycle, participating as a moderator in reviews and testing activities.
  • Analyze and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis through Quality Management Reviews (QMRs).
  • Manage quality initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement in operating results and strengthening underlying processes.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of SDLC and map processes, engaging frontline process owners to identify non-value-added activities and apply a lean approach for cost innovation.
  • Provide advanced training on quality-related initiatives to promote a quality culture across the organization.
  • Track and report performance on organizational and engagement objectives, driving productivity scores for assigned projects (Quality Index).
  • Collaborate with Delivery Leads/Functional Leads to optimize project quality by recognizing, enhancing, and sharing best practices.
  • Conduct quality audits to ensure consistent and effective implementation of quality systems, including adherence to CMMI practice areas and ISO standards.
  • Demonstrate a passion for mistake-proofing and driving process improvements using problem-solving techniques such as 5-Why and Six Sigma, and establish common methods for Corrective Action Requests (CAR), Quality Performance Metrics (QPM), and Process Performance Metrics (PPM).
  • Respond to RFQ/RFPs related to quality requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Oracle QA consulting or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle technologies and applications.
  • Proficient in analyzing SLAs/KPIs and providing valuable insights.
  • Proven expertise in identifying risks and coaching project managers on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with process improvement initiatives, CMMI compliance, and quality best practices.
  • Excellent understanding of SDLC and ability to map processes and identify non-value-added activities.
  • Ability to conduct effective reviews and implement quality assurance measures.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Experience with quality audits and ensuring adherence to standards and practices.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques such as 5-Why and Six Sigma.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and establish a quality culture.
