Role and Responsibilities:
As a Manual Testing professional at UST Global, you will be an integral part of our quality assurance team responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions to our clients. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, you will play a critical role in testing applications, identifying defects, and providing valuable insights to enhance the overall product quality. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Test Planning and Design: Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications. Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
- Test Execution: Execute manual test cases to identify defects and ensure that applications meet the specified requirements. Perform functional, regression, and system testing to ensure the software’s reliability and stability.
- Defect Identification and Reporting: Accurately document and track defects using appropriate bug tracking tools. Provide detailed information and steps to reproduce identified issues for efficient resolution.
- Test Documentation: Maintain clear and organized test documentation, including test scenarios, test data, and test results. Keep track of testing progress and report status to project stakeholders regularly.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to communicate testing progress, results, and potential risks. Participate in team meetings and provide valuable insights to improve the overall product quality.
- Test Environment Setup: Set up and configure testing environments to simulate real-world scenarios and ensure accurate testing.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices. Suggest innovative ideas to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that the software meets the highest quality standards by adhering to industry best practices and following established testing processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 3+ years in manual testing in the IT industry.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools to document and manage defects.
- Ability to create comprehensive test plans and test cases from requirements.
- Experience in functional, regression, and system testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify defects and root causes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation.
- ISTQB certification or any relevant testing certification is a plus.
