Job Summary:

As a Manual Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products or applications through comprehensive manual testing. You will design and execute test plans, write test cases, identify defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the product meets the specified requirements and delivers a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Planning and Analysis: Design comprehensive test plans and analyze requirements to derive test scenarios.
  2. Test Case Writing: Write clear and concise test cases with a keen eye for detail.
  3. Manual Testing: Execute manual testing of web applications and identify defects.
  4. Test Scenario Design: Derive test scenarios from requirements and perform testing to validate functionalities.
  5. Test Management: Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems to track and manage testing activities.
  6. Testing Types: Conduct various testing types, including functional, integration, regression, and usability testing.
  7. Collaboration: Work collaboratively in a team environment, communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  8. Problem-Solving: Utilize strong problem-solving skills and think critically during testing activities.
  9. Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile methodologies and working in an agile development environment is a plus.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-8 years of experience in web applications testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in manual testing of software applications or products.
  • Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of various testing types, such as functional, integration, regression, and usability testing.
  • Proficiency in writing clear and concise test cases with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to analyze requirements and derive test scenarios from them.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically during testing activities.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and working in an agile development environment is a plus.
