- Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and specifications.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure maximum test coverage.
- Perform smoke testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing to validate software functionality.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Participate in requirements analysis to provide valuable input from a testing perspective.
- Execute API testing to verify data integrity and communication between different software components.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in manual testing and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience of 2+ years in manual testing of software applications.
- Solid understanding of manual testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in designing and executing test cases, and documenting test results.
- Experience with API testing to ensure data accuracy and integration integrity.
- Familiarity with smoke testing techniques to quickly assess basic functionality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and report defects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey testing results clearly.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to meticulously identify issues in complex software systems.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages is beneficial.
