Position: Manual Software Tester

Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing of software applications and systems to identify and report defects, bugs, and usability issues.
- Create and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand software requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
- Conduct thorough testing of software components, including user interfaces, data validation, performance, and security.
- Utilize industry-standard test management tools like Jira to document and track test cases, test results, and defects.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that software updates and enhancements do not introduce new issues.
- Participate in test case reviews and provide valuable feedback to improve the overall quality of the software development process.
- Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and troubleshoot reported issues and provide detailed bug reports.
- Develop a deep understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC) methodologies.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in manual testing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven 1-3 years of experience in software manual testing.
- Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using test management tools like Jira for test case management and defect tracking.
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple testing tasks simultaneously.
- ISTQB certification or any other relevant certifications in software testing is a plus.

I have 3.4 years of experience in Manual Testing. My roles and responsibilities are as below:
To understand the user stories and functional requirements.
To create test cases.
Expertise in Manual Testing (Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System
Testing, Regression Testing, Sanity Testing, Smoke Testing).
Expertise in testing Web applications. Understanding the Requirements and functionality of the system.
To understand the user stories and functional requirements Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Test execution and reporting of defect found in defect reporting tool (JIRA).
Experience in scrum agile methodology Database testing using MySQL Database
Basic knowledge of Jmeter. Familiar with the API testing, Core Java, Selenium Webdriver, Maven, TestNG.
