Role: Manual Testing

As a Manual Testing professional at UST Global, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and usability of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute comprehensive test plans, identify and report defects, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Planning and Design: Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand software requirements and design effective test plans. Develop detailed test cases and test scripts that cover various test scenarios.
  2. Manual Testing Execution: Conduct manual testing to validate software functionality, perform system and integration testing, and ensure that applications meet specified requirements.
  3. Defect Reporting and Tracking: Log defects in the defect tracking system and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution. Perform defect triaging and retesting of resolved defects.
  4. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to verify the impact of code changes on existing functionality. Maintain and update regression test suites for enhanced test coverage.
  5. Test Environment Setup: Collaborate with the development team to set up and maintain test environments that accurately mimic production environments.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in manual testing.
  7. Documentation: Maintain clear and organized test documentation, including test cases, test results, and test summary reports.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Manual Testing, including test case creation and execution.
  • Manual Testing Expertise: In-depth knowledge of manual testing methodologies and best practices. Strong hands-on experience in performing functional, integration, and system testing.
  • Defect Management: Experience in defect tracking and reporting using industry-standard defect tracking tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify and isolate defects effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
