Position: Manual Testing

Location: Hyderabad

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the development team, business analysts, and product owners to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
  • Perform module, integration, and system testing to ensure the functionality, usability, and performance of software products.
  • Write clear and concise test scenarios and test cases, considering both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Execute manual tests to validate software behavior and identify defects or inconsistencies.
  • Participate in defect triage meetings to prioritize and track the resolution of identified issues.
  • Work closely with the development team to provide necessary information and collaborate on defect resolution.
  • Collaborate with automation testers to identify opportunities for test automation and provide necessary inputs for test script development.
  • Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the testing process.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in manual testing methodologies and industry standards.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing sessions to contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and share best practices.
  • Conduct test status meetings and provide regular updates on test progress, defects, and overall quality metrics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in manual testing or a similar role.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of manual testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Basic understanding of automation testing principles and tools.
  • Ability to write comprehensive test scenarios and test cases for module, integration, and system testing.
  • Prior experience in testing smart devices is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage testing tasks and priorities.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in participating in written assessments or technical interviews demonstrating expertise in creating test scenarios and test cases.
