Position: Manual Testing
Location: Hyderabad
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team, business analysts, and product owners to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform module, integration, and system testing to ensure the functionality, usability, and performance of software products.
- Write clear and concise test scenarios and test cases, considering both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Execute manual tests to validate software behavior and identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Participate in defect triage meetings to prioritize and track the resolution of identified issues.
- Work closely with the development team to provide necessary information and collaborate on defect resolution.
- Collaborate with automation testers to identify opportunities for test automation and provide necessary inputs for test script development.
- Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the testing process.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in manual testing methodologies and industry standards.
- Participate in knowledge sharing sessions to contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and share best practices.
- Conduct test status meetings and provide regular updates on test progress, defects, and overall quality metrics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in manual testing or a similar role.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Solid understanding of manual testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Basic understanding of automation testing principles and tools.
- Ability to write comprehensive test scenarios and test cases for module, integration, and system testing.
- Prior experience in testing smart devices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage testing tasks and priorities.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in participating in written assessments or technical interviews demonstrating expertise in creating test scenarios and test cases.
