Job Summary:

NuWare is seeking an adept Manual Tester with 3 to 5 years of experience to contribute to our software testing efforts. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in manual testing of web and windows applications, along with a strong understanding of database testing. The role encompasses thorough knowledge of the manual testing process, including expertise in testing windows and web applications. Proficiency in SQL, good communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are essential attributes for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct manual testing of web and windows applications to ensure software quality and performance.
Employ a comprehensive understanding of the manual testing process to design and execute effective test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Perform in-depth testing of both web and windows applications, identifying and documenting defects with precision.
Demonstrate expertise in database testing, including validating data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and quality assurance professionals, to understand project requirements and design effective test strategies.
Execute manual test cases, record test results, and report issues using established defect management processes.
Leverage knowledge of SQL to query and manipulate data for testing purposes.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.
Provide timely and accurate updates on testing progress, results, and any potential risks or challenges.
Utilize effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of testing objectives and outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in manual testing of web and windows applications.
Sound knowledge of the manual testing process and testing methodologies.
Familiarity with database testing concepts and techniques.
Proficiency in SQL for data validation and manipulation.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to identify and document defects accurately.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
