Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing of software applications to ensure their functionality, usability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand requirements and define testing objectives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing, to identify and report defects and issues.
- Document test results, defects, and testing activities using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Investigate and analyze reported defects, working closely with the development team to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress and communicate any potential risks or challenges to the project team.
- Participate in test case reviews, walkthroughs, and other team meetings to ensure alignment and quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the automation testing team to identify areas where automated testing can be implemented.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Manual Tester, preferably in a software development or IT company, with at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, test case development, and defect tracking.
- Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
- Familiarity with various testing types and techniques, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC) processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot software defects.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meticulously follow test plans and test cases.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate testing results and issues.
- Self-motivated and proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
