Job Description: As a Manual Tester at Spruce InfoTech, Inc, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will work closely with the development team to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality software products. The primary focus of this role will be manual testing, including regression testing, functional testing, smoke/sanity testing, test case creation, defect tracking, and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing activities to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications.
- Conduct regression testing to identify potential issues and ensure that changes in code do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
- Perform functional testing to validate that the software meets the specified requirements.
- Execute smoke/sanity tests to quickly identify critical issues and ensure the stability of the application.
- Write clear and concise test cases based on requirements and functional specifications.
- Document the testing activities, including test plans, test scenarios, and test results.
- Raise bugs/defect tickets in the issue tracking system and work closely with developers to resolve them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Participate in test planning and estimation activities.
- Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Skills Required:
- Solid experience in manual testing, including regression testing, functional testing, and smoke/sanity testing.
- Proficiency in writing clear and comprehensive test cases and test scripts.
- Ability to document test results and communicate findings effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and isolate defects.
- Familiarity with bug/defect tracking systems and experience in raising and managing tickets.
- Experience working with Java, SpringBoot, MySQL, Angular, and Linux commands.
- Knowledge of testing tools such as MobaXterm, Jira, and WinSCP.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
