Position: Manual Tester

Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and development teams to understand software requirements and define test cases.
  • Design and develop comprehensive manual test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Execute manual tests to validate software functionality, user interfaces, and system integration.
  • Perform functional testing to ensure that software meets specified requirements and behaves as expected.
  • Conduct UI testing to verify the correctness of user interfaces and ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that software changes do not adversely impact existing functionality.
  • Collaborate with the agile development team to ensure that testing activities align with sprint goals and timelines.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that the software meets the desired business outcomes.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to provide testing-related insights and updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the overall quality assurance process and contribute to the adoption of best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in manual testing techniques, tools, and industry standards.
  • Provide accurate and timely test status reports, defect reports, and testing metrics to project stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Manual Tester or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in manual testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Proficiency in functional testing, including creating test cases, executing tests, and reporting defects.
  • Solid understanding of SQL for data validation and verification.
  • Experience in UI testing to ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with bug tracking systems and test management tools.
  • Knowledge of insurance domain and insurance software solutions is a plus.
