As a Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality, usability, and performance of our software applications, particularly within the investment banking domain. This position is located in Goregaon, Mumbai, and we are looking for an immediate joiner who can contribute actively to our testing efforts.

Responsibilities:

i. Manual Testing: Conduct comprehensive manual testing of software applications in the investment banking domain to identify defects, bugs, and inconsistencies.

ii. Test Case Execution: Create and execute test cases based on project requirements and specifications, covering all relevant test scenarios.

iii. Defect Tracking: Document test results, defects, and issues systematically using appropriate tools. Track the resolution process and verify that issues are resolved to ensure high-quality deliverables.

iv. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with developers and other stakeholders to understand project objectives, contribute to requirement analysis, and ensure effective communication throughout the testing process.

v. Test Planning: Participate in test planning and strategy development, contributing valuable insights and expertise in software testing methodologies.

vi. Functional and Regression Testing: Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with industry standards.

vii. Test Automation: Identify areas for test automation and work with the automation team to implement automated test scripts, enhancing the efficiency of the testing process.

viii. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in testing processes and methodologies, making recommendations to enhance overall testing efficiency and effectiveness.

ix. Knowledge Upgradation: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in software testing to ensure we remain at the forefront of quality assurance practices.

Requirements:

i. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

ii. Software Testing Principles: Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and processes, including test case design, execution, and defect tracking.

iii. Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the investment banking domain, including an understanding of financial concepts and workflows, is a significant advantage.

iv. SDLC and Agile: Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies, with the ability to adapt testing processes accordingly.

v. Programming Basics: Basic understanding of programming languages and scripting (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus.

vi. Analytical Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues.

vii. Communication: Effective written and verbal communication abilities to communicate test findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

viii. Team Player: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

ix. Learning Aptitude: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and testing practices, displaying a growth mindset.
